Google Review: Carlisle Family

At Carriage Hill Health & Rehab Center, we exist to provide the most caring, compassionate, and complete rehabilitation we can. We care about what we do and strive to have that care reflected in our daily interactions. We are responsive to the needs of our patients, residents, their families, and our dedicated staff, practicing continuous improvement in the pursuit of excellence. We’re able to do this through the testimonials that our patients and family members leave us. Providing the best care is not just because it’s our job but also our calling.

We receive warm, wonderful testimonials from former patients, their families, and friends almost every day. We thank them for taking the time to praise the excellent care they received, for telling us about their recovery, and for sharing their experience with us, which we, in turn, communicate with you here.

Recently, we received this excellent Google Review from Ms. Carlisle, who wanted to thank our employees & staff for everything we do.  Here is what he said:

“I spent 20 days here as an “observer” at my 95-year-old mother’s bedside as she was recovering from a hip fracture. The receptionists make a great first impression. The directors and managers came as a team to our room and introduced themselves a day or two after we arrived. They were very responsive the several times we contacted them for specific needs and often stopped by on their own to inquire about our stay or just to say hello. Notwithstanding a fairly full house of patients and residents, the nursing staff and aides were professional, responsive, attentive, caring, and friendly. The physical therapists had her up and walking on her own before our 20-day stay was over. The occupational and speech therapists had her prepared for every-day tasks on her return home and shared exercises, knowledge, and instruction on how we (my sister and I) could help at home. Although I didn’t eat while I was there, there was a nice variety of main courses and side dishes for lunch and dinner. The dining room was clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. When the head dietitian overheard a minor complaint about the lack of variety at breakfast, she inquired about personal preferences and promised they would be delivered. There were events in the activity room most afternoons and evenings–movies, trivia, speakers, bingo, musicians, animal videos, crafts, etc. They were so much fun I almost hated to see the 20 days end! My only complaint throughout our stay was that one staff member and one resident referred to my mother as my “wife.” But I attribute that to the mask I wore daily. (Or to the rehab having her looking so youthful!) To summarize…when my hip breaks, I know where I’m going!”
